Kookeez Dog Treats Inc. was born from founder Betty Sheppard’s big heart (and a few sneezes—she’s allergic to cats and dogs!). After years of baking cookies for humans, alarming news about tainted pet food pushed her to switch to wholesome, human-grade treats for her own rescue pups, Little Red (border collie) and Oscar (Aussie shepherd), who remain the official taste testers. What started with all-natural dog treats (and now tuna cat treats too!) has grown to include our famous low-fat Breathalyzers—packed with fresh mint and parsley for kissable breath and only 6g of fat per bag, making them perfect even for dogs with pancreatitis—plus eco-friendly bandanas, bow ties, and brain-boosting snuffle mats handcrafted from recycled fleece.
Every ingredient is top-quality, every treat is made with love, and everything is shelf-stable with zero chemicals—because pets are family. Proudly Made in Alberta, Kookeez is passionate about happy, healthy pets and giving back to rescues, firmly believing every dog and cat deserves a forever home.
