Terroir Artisan Butter is a Calgary-based business devoted to transforming exceptional Western Canadian A2 grass-fed cream into naturally cultured butter with depth, elegance, and a quiet sense of place. Made slowly and shaped by hand, our butter begins with remarkable cream and is guided by time, craftsmanship, and restraint. Each block is cultured, churned, kneaded, salted, shaped, and wrapped by hand in our signature chinoiserie-print butter paper, allowing the character of the land, the seasons, the farmers, and the richness of Canadian dairy to come through. It is butter made for tables where food is chosen carefully, served beautifully, and never treated as ordinary.

Terroir Artisan Butter is made slowly, deliberately, and entirely by hand in small batches using 100% A2 grass-fed cream from Alberta dairy farms. We culture our cream for 48 hours before churning, allowing natural dairy cultures to develop depth, aroma, and subtle tang. The result is a butter that is rich, layered, and quietly indulgent.
Each block is kneaded with Salt Spring sea salt, and finally shaped and wrapped by hand in our signature chinoiserie butter paper. This process enhances both texture and flavour.
