Contest Rules
1. Eligibility:
The “Made in Alberta” contest is open to legal residents of Alberta, Canada, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members of the contest organizers and sponsors are not eligible to participate.
2. Contest Period:
The contest begins on [Start Date] at 12:00 AM (local Alberta time) and ends on [End Date] at 11:59 PM (local Alberta time). All entries must be received within this period to be considered valid.
3. How to Enter:
To enter the contest, participants must scan the provided QR code using a QR code reader on their mobile device. The QR code will redirect them to the official contest entry page on the Made in Alberta website. Participants must complete the entry form with accurate and valid information, including their full name, email address, and phone number.
4. Entry Limit:
Each participant is allowed only one entry throughout the contest period. Any attempt to submit multiple entries may result in disqualification.
5. Prize:
One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries. The winner will receive a $500 gift card to be used exclusively for purchasing “Made in Alberta” food and beverages. The gift card for “Made in Alberta” food and beverages is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other products or services. The winner is solely responsible for the proper and lawful use of the gift card according to the terms and conditions set forth by the issuing merchant.
6. Winner Selection:
The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The drawing will take place within seven (7) days after the contest ends. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification:
The selected winner will be contacted via the email address or phone number provided in the entry form. If the winner does not respond within five (5) business days of the initial notification, a new winner may be selected.
8. Prize Redemption:
The prize will be delivered to the winner’s address provided when the winner is contacted via the email address or phone number provided in the entry form. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that the provided address is accurate and complete. The contest organizers and sponsors shall not be held liable for any delays or issues related to the delivery of the prize due to incorrect or incomplete address information. In the event that the prize is returned as undeliverable or if the winner is unable to accept the prize, the contest organizers may, at their discretion, select an alternate winner through a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
9. Publicity Release:
By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to allow the contest organizers to use their name, photograph, and likeness for promotional and marketing purposes without any compensation.
10. General Conditions:
The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that they deem inappropriate or in violation of these rules. They also reserve the right to modify or terminate the contest at any time for any reason without prior notice. The contest organizers and sponsors shall not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged prize once it has been delivered to the winner’s address.
The risk of loss and title for the gift card shall pass to the winner upon delivery. Please note that the delivery of the prize may take up to 30 days from the date of confirming the winner’s eligibility and contact information.
11. Taxes and Liabilities:
Any applicable taxes on the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The contest organizers and sponsors shall not be liable for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance and use of the prize.
12. Compliance with Laws:
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
