30
MINS
A naturally vibrant frozen treat made with hibiscus, citrus, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • Abilex Hibiscus (Zobo) Juice
Or make Hibiscus Juice from scratch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    (for brightness)
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
    (optional, for depth)
  • A pinch of salt
  1. Make the hibiscus base or use Our Premium Abilex Hibiscus Juice
  2. Churn or freeze Hibiscus Base
With an ice cream maker: Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes). Without an ice cream maker: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish, freeze for 30–40 minutes, then scrape with a fork to break up ice crystals. Repeat every 30 minutes until smooth and scoopable (about 3–4 hours total).
  3. Serve:
Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh mint, edible flowers, or a slice of orange.
